I am 25 and studying Physics as a PhD student at the Australian National University. When I’m not working on my research (which typically involves shining powerful lasers at diamonds to make them glow) I sometimes contribute to the OpenStreetMap project, go camping, read, tweak my Gentoo GNU/Linux, take photographs, ride my recumbent trike, contribute to Wikipedia and chat with friends.
I do most of these things with my wonderful wife Clansi (do you want to see our wedding photos?). We have 13 pet fish and a cat named Corbett.
If you want to contact me just leave a comment here.

hey buddy.. just dropped by to say gday.. so, in my most aussie of accents.. GDAY!!! And ‘ow ya gowen? You loving the political territory.. seen johnie around? I wish I knew more about politics so I could be more witty at this point.
Just came home from bible study. Seriously, there is little more convicting than a good bible study. I am constantly trying to sum up my life philosophy/outlook in a few sentences… At the moment it is this. Information is vital!! If you have an open mind to experiences, or you are actively involved in discovering information (ie, school/uni) then you are heading towards wisdom. Most conflicts in the world happen from lack of information… rebuking, pride, humilty, suffering, compassion are all issues/concepts which can only be understood by seeking and discovering.
My tummy is sore.. i ate chocolate cake, and in my old age, I can’t handle chocolate cake. Makes my tummy do turns.
Starting singing lessons today!! It has been nearly a year since I have learnt and I MISS it so much!! Pretty excited.!!
Miss you guys. Love ya heaps. You going to NNSW camp?? I just realised that maybe you are…. YES?????? I HOPE SO!!! (but I also fear that you won’t. poo). Let me know.. I will be there. (will be wearing bells).

Kristin,
I’m more than happy for you to use one of my photos in your article, which is one of the reasons why I publish this site under a Creative Commons By-SA license. I’ve emailed you full-resolution copies of the two best photos.

Hey Lachlan,
Nice site, in many ways this is exactly what I have been wanting to do for a while now.
I’ve been messing around a bit with making a website (not useing html) just using basic in-built programs for newbs like me
On my site I have a ‘friends of the site’ page, I added your website to it, if you want it removed just let me know.
p.s thanks for the link to that program, found a few other interesting ones on the same site.
