This morning I migrated this site to a new server, and it seems to have been a smooth and successful transition.  As far as I can tell the only difference is that some of the post, page and category IDs have changed – which will probably stuff up any remote links to particular pages.

I have finally set up an old Toshiba Portege 3110CT as a webserver, which replaces the large Dell laptop that I’ve been using for the last year.  The little Portege should use less power, and take up less space on top of the filing cabinet.

The Dell, with its large and high res screen (for a laptop) is now free to become our multimedia machine.
