I’ve just returned from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland where I spent a week at Convention, an event held by the Adventist Students Association (ASA). Almost 50 tertiary students from around Australia came to experience fellowship, fun and spiritual food.

I went surfing for the first time ever, and stood up on a few good waves. As I found with snow skiing a few years ago, no skill is required to have some fun on a surfboard.  And as with skiing, however, the sort of fun one has with little skill looks somewhat ungraceful. We also spent a day at Wet’n’Wild.

A number of us took plenty of photos, and as soon as I sort through them I’ll add some of the best ones here.

  1. “no skill is required…”

    or maybe “natural talent/skill”

    you rock my world!

  2. Sounds like fun. I heard you stayed at my place one night… Got in after I was in bed and left before I got up… Oh well!

surfing isn’t “that” easy for mere mortals 😉 (although surprisingly I found snow skiing to be rather simple)
